The School Prefectorial Board of St. John’s School, Abu Road embark on the journey to embrace responsibility.
St. John’s School, Abu Road observed the Investiture Ceremony for the Session 2022 on 16th July 2022 .Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality. Through the Investiture Ceremony the school entrusts hope, faith and the mantle of responsibility to the newly appointed Student Council. The potential leaders of tomorrow are groomed, developed, and raised in the miniature world of the school through diverse portfolios that are offered to mark a difference.
The Year 2022 brought a silver lining after two years; the students were
full of energy and enthusiasm as they were going to be a part of the real time Investiture Ceremony.
The ceremony began with the ceremonial lighting of the auspicious lamp as the school choir sang a meaningful and melodious prayer to render peace, knowledge and brightness.
The newly selected student Council members and Class Prefects were welcomed with a huge round of applause when they marched majestically and assembled in the perfectly decorated assembly ground. The Head Boy Master Gokul Karthic of Class XII (Science) and the Head Girl Miss Khushi Kumari of Class XII (Science) received flag, sash and badge from the Principal Mrs. Uma Shyam while all the other School Captains were honored by badge & sash by their respective House Teachers . All the office bearers pledged to serve the school and fulfill to the best of their abilities the school Moto “Tamso Ma Jyotirgamaya”.
The Class Prefects and Planet Pals too received their badges from their respective Class Teachers. The entire assembly pledged to work as a team and to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities.
To make the ceremony memorable and fill the audience with energy two dances were performed. The Principal congratulated the newly elected members and emphasized on the need of team work. The programme finally concluded by the School Anthem followed by the National Anthem.
