Students always learn best when they are engaged and interested as well as, when they are actively involved. Keeping this in mind the Inter Class Drama Competition was organised for Classes I to X. For Classes I to V the competition “Peep out of Bookland” was organised. The students staged the stories from famous classics like Hansel and Gretel, Cinderilla, The Shoemaker and the Elves, Aladdin and the Magic lamp, Merchant of Venice, Tales of Akbar and Birbal, The Fisher man and his wife- A tale from Panchtantra and the Salty Sea. For class VI to X the competition was based on ‘Replaying the History of India’. A tribute was given to all legendary Freedom fighters. The students dramatized memorable incidents from the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai, Bhagat Singh, Chandrasekhar Azad, Prithviraj Chauhan and many more. Through different characters students shared the opportunity to expand their problem solving skills both verbally and non –verbally, making room for a sense of creativity. The students also developed various communication skills through the use of body language, facial expressions and different voices. It also provided a great outlet for children to explore a wide range of feelings including delight, anger and happiness. The acts were highly appreciated by the judges, students and others. It was a very exciting day for the students.
