BONDING RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE SACRED THREADS OF RAKHI

In a successful attempt to make the celebration eventful and for spreading the social message of Universal Brotherhood Raksha Bandhan was celebrated in the school campus . Tying rakhi is a wonderful way of expressing warmth, which in a way helps succeed in catalysing feelings of care and affection between siblings. The tiny tots of the pre-primary wing came dressed in traditional attire. The students were appraised about the importance of Rakshabandhan. Teachers shared mythological stories of the festival of Raksha Bandhan and spoke on its significance The girl students tied colourful rakhis to the boys and shared chocolates and sweets.

Students of Classes VI to VIII enthusiastically participated in the Rakhi Making ,and Rakhi Card making competitions. It was truly a delight to watch the young hands of our little artisans put together intricate material of colourful threads,beads and fondly fiddle for mirrors, ornaments, adhesive etc to deliver beautiful and extremely creative masterpieces. The rakhis made were an enviable lot and a fusion of modern with traditional, stylish with contemporary.
