Independence Day was celebrated in our school to mark the 72nd year of freedom from the British rule. On this patriotic occasion the students showcased a colourful spectacle of India’s vision through their performances. The program started with lamp lighting followed by flag hoisting by our honorable Chairman Shri K. A. Shyam Kumar. The School Choir in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom. A spectacular, impressive and a well synchronized March Past by the four houses rendered the spectators speechless. This grand event was made grander by the school bagpiper band. The entire atmosphere was filled with songs full of nationalism highlighting India’s flight to progress in spite of its diversity. A Play depicting different facts of our glorious freedom struggle was staged. The participants spell bound the audience with their natural performance and also energized them with patriotic fervor. Audience also witnessed well rehearsed choreographies that had feel of patriotism and enthusiasm. Daksh Sharma of Class IX A presented a magic show and black belt holder Abrar Ansari of Class II B presented Karate. Children were dressed up in saffron, white and green colours. Some students disguised as freedom fighters and great Indian personalities to depict their tribute to the great souls. The programme was co-ordinated by a team of seven students. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect for our country to make it a better place for Indians to live and experiencing the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
