Raksha Bandhan is one of the most endearing ways to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters. It was celebrated with full enthusiasm, zeal and gaiety at our extended family.
The KG students were familiarized with the customs and rituals. The girls selected rakhis and tied it on the small wrist of their brothers in school. Boys presented thank you cards along with sweets to their little sisters.
To celebrate Raksha Bandhan with a difference in its true spirit of Universal Brotherhood; many competitions were organized for the students.
The students of class VI decorated a box and placed a handmade rakhi in it.
The students of class VII made colourful, eye catching rakhis as they participated in the Rakhi Making Competition. Mehendi is a reflection of the rich Indian culture, bringing together the knowledge of medicinal herbs with many lovely sentiments and beliefs. The result is a ceremony filled with fun and joy. The students of class VIII participated in Mehendi Design Competition. Students of Class IX and X participated in the Star Chef Flameless Sweet Dish Competition. The students got a platform to showcase and demonstrate their skill and talent in culinary art.
To enhance writing skills, story writing competition “Khati Methi Yadeein” was organized. The students from Class VI to X participated in the competition. Stories were judges on the basis of content, language & style of writing.
The celebration also included an inspiring show by the students. The students sang and danced to the tunes of songs related to Raksha Bandhan. A skit was presented by the students which included mythological stories.
A group of students visited CRPF Academy Mount Abu. They tied handmade rakhis to their personnel. The students showed their gratitude to them are far away from their families and protected the nation round the clock.
The students also visited the Rehabilitation Centre for the Visually Challenged Mt. Abu. They tied rakhis on the wrist of the students and spent some time with them. They sang songs together.
In all it was a successful attempt to make the celebration eventful by spreading the social message of universal Brotherhood.
