One Nation Reading Together

To foster the habit of reading and creating readers, St. John’s School, Abu Road joined hands with Scholastic India in One Nation Reading Together Campagin. To celebrate the pleasure of reading on November 25, 2016 at 12 p.m. children from Class I to Class XII picked up a book of their choice and read it. Prior to reading students took a pledge written by the celebrated award winning author Ms. Uma Krishnaswami.

On the Graffiti Wall children and teachers wrote their thoughts on reading and why they like to read. It was placed on a Bulletin Board.

Followed by that many fun filled creative and interesting activities were conducted. Students dressed up as their favourite cartoon character and spoke a few Dialogues. Boogle, Picture Composition, Weaving story around a given picture writing poem and looking at the cover page of a book and identifying the book and the author of the book were some of the activities conducted.

It was a pleasure and enriching experience both for the students and the teachers.
