Traffic Awareness Camp

It is an irony that educated people indulge in traffic violations despite being aware of traffic rules. Keeping in mind that if a child starts obeying traffic rules since his or her childhood it becomes his or her lifelong habit. A traffic awareness camp was organized in St. John’s School, Abu Road by traffic police. Shri Nar Singh Ramji, SI Sadar, Abu Road spoke on road safety norms to minimize the cases of road mishaps. Traffic incharge Shri Vaja Ramji acquainted students with traffic signs, signals and speed limit. He also stressed on raising consciousness for compliance with traffic rules, cautious movement of the pedestrians and carrying the accident victims to the hospital at the earliest possible time. Apart from educating children about the road safety norms, he also answered to children’s queries. It was highly interactive session during which the students showed a high sense of awareness. A special assembly was conducted by students to bring about a positive change in the traffic scenario. House Bulletin Boards also reflected on traffic rules and regulations. It was a wonderful experience for the students of SJS, Abu Road who pledged to follow traffic rules.
