Gandhi Jayanti & Shastri Jayanti Celebration

St. John’s School Abu Road celebrated Gandhi Jayanti & Shastri Jayanti with full velour. The programme began by lighting the lamp and paying humble obeisance to God followed by garlanding the portraits of Gandhi ji and Shastri Ji.

St. John’s School witnessed an electrifying atmosphere charged with energetic dance performance. Melody was in the air when SJS choir sang songs having in depth teachings of Gandhi Ji and Shastri Ji. The street Play put up by the senior class students was not only entertaining but also informative. The students not only spoke about the teachings of the two great leaders but also promised to inculcate the teachings of these leaders in their life.

A team of students went to Mordu School to distribute the uniform, foot wear, note books, pen , pencil, geometry box etc to the underprivileged students. It spread happiness at both the giving end and the receiving end. The school also hosted ‘Look Alike’ competition in which students of the Primary Section disguised themselves as Gandhi Ji, Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji and MAA Durga.

The Principal of the School Mrs. Uma Shyam gave the message of spreading love in our society and keeping our society clean and green as dreamt by the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. The programme concluded by retro rating the slogan ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’.
