Sanskrit Divas Celebration

To cherish and glorify the language of gods and goddesses “Sanskrit Divas” was celebrated in the St. John's School, Abu Road on 29th August, 2016. The programme began with Saraswati Vandana. Master Sanjay Sajnani of Class VII ‘A’ highlighted on the importance of knowing Sanskrit language. To sprinkle the nectar of the language students recited two Sanskrit poems. A dialogue between Teena and Joshita reflected on the saying – ‘Little knowledge is dangerous’. A dance performed on a Sanskrit song left the audience spell bound.

A quiz was conducted to test the knowledge of students in Sanskrit. To the surprise of all the students were able to answer almost all questions.

The celebration concluded with Principal Mam’s words of appreciation. She congratulated Mrs. Pallavi Manglick (HOD Sanskrit) and emphasized on the importance of Sanskrit language which has been accepted by all developed countries. The language which has been scientifically proven to be the most suitable for computer programming and considered to be the mother of all languages.
