St. John’s School observed Fit India Week from 18th to 23rd of November, 2019. During this week various activities were conducted in the school. The school conducted its Annual Sports Meet. It was inaugurated by the Chairman Mr. K. A. Shyam Kumar by hoisting the flag. The torch flame was carried by the School Sports Captain Master Bibin Benny.
A carnival was organized by all the houses where the theme was “Unity in Diversity”. Students from classes I to V were dressed up various costumes in state wise and religion wise which was followed up by March Past by all four houses.
A mass drill was held for the students of classes IX to XII. Yoga and Yoga Dance was also performed by the students. Indigenous games such as Gilli-Danda, Satoliya, Langdi Taang, Pakdam-Pakdai, Kho-Kho etc were also conducted during this week to make them aware regarding the importance of indigenous outdoor games.
The students were also briefed about the importance of healthy food and the harmful effects of junk food through a Power Point Presentation. A poster competition was conducted to create awareness regarding the eating habits for a fit India.
