Guru Purnima

The festival of Guru Purnima was celebrated on 16th July 2019 at St. John’s School, Abu Road. There was a special Assembly dedicated to the teachers the ‘Gurus’. To mark the event there were speeches, songs, shlokas and skit. The program started with the shloka “Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwara”, and continued with a lamp lightining ceremony led by Mrs. Uma Shyam , the Principal. The songs, shlokas and skits highlighted the importance of ‘Guru’ in our lives. The skit presented by class IV A students reflected the obedience to a Guru and inspired the students to honour the wisdom that life has offered to them.
