To celebrate the popularity of Hindi as an official language of the India Hindi Diwas was celebrated on 14th September, 2018 in St. John’s School, Abu Road.
On this occasion a special assembly was organized by the Hindi Department. The students spoke about the importance of Hindi as our official and national language. Budding poets of St. John’s School, Abu Road recited self written poems in Hindi. They also decorated then class bulletin board with charts on noted Hindi writers and poets.
A series of competitions were also organized for the students in Hindi. Pre-primary students participated in a competition where they were shown flash cards. The students identified the pictures and wrote names. The students of class two wrote the dictated words. The students of Class III wrote words with given letters. The students of Class IV identified the name of the company through the advertisement. Students developed advertisement of the given product, they wrote film review and also participated in news writing competition.
The students of Class IX to XI participated in Panel Discussion. The panel discussion was not only entertaining but also informative. The students displayed extensive knowledge of the subject.
