Star Dust Competition

To hone the budding talents of the students, ‘Star Dust’ Inter Class Performers competition was organized on 11th and 12th of September 2018 at St. John’s School, Abu Road . It was an amalgamation of playing musical instrument, singing and solo dance for the classes VI to VIII. The competition started with great zeal and enthusiasm. Young artists were thrilled to be a part of colorful, vibrant and energizing event. Classical and Folk dancing is a wonderful way to introduce young children to the India’s rich diversity and enable them to absorb the enjoyment of dance, music and rhythm. It also improves self expression and self esteem. The vivacious dancers rocked the floor with their energetic performance. The students in their colourful costumes performed classical and folk dances of the various states of India. Children made use of props like mud pot, dandiya sticks, hats, chair, thali, lamps etc. The choreography, rhythm, synchronization and presentation of all the students were par excellence. Music finds our soul, hearts and emotions. To bring out the singing talent of the students an inter class solo singing completion was organized. The children sang non-filmy songs with lot of passion, confidence and feeling. The melodious songs pulled the heartstring of the audience. Each participant showed mastery over voice modulation, pitch, rhythm and tone. The students also played Casio and Congo. It was indeed a spectacular show and a memorable one too.
