Christmas Celebration

Before moving towards delicious holiday treats, St. John’s School, Abu Road celebrated Christmas and welcomed New Year 2019. The entire campus was decorated for the festive mood. The bright colourful balloons attracted the Tiny Tots. A wave of cheer enveloped the activity area which was all set for the tiny tots of St. John’s School, Abu Road. The students of LKG and HKG dressed up as the elements of Christmas and danced to the tune of various Christmas and other energetic songs. Various games were organized for the students like caring and sharing, passing the parcel and pinning the Santa’s nose. The students welcomed Santa with huge round of applause. The students also presented a cultural show at the Christmas Celebration. The school choir sang Christmas Carols. A musical play was staged depicting the birth of Jesus and his teachings for this world. Energetic dance performances received huge round of applause from the audience. Daksh Sharma the great magician of SJS showed wonderful magic tricks. Maitreyee Dave and Mitali Lohar of Class X sang melodious song with the message to spread peace and love which is the need of the hour. Vishakha Agarwal of Class XI Science explained the importance of decorating Christmas tree with the star, tinsel, candy canes, wreath, bells and lights. The students disguised as Santa Clause enthralled the audience by their sudden entry on the bicycles. They brought gifts and sweets for the students. The students showcased their creativity by setting up a grand manger crib, the nativity scenes were exhibited. The figures represented the infant Jesus Mother Merry and Joseph. Other characters from the Nativity story such as shepherds, angles etc. The Principal of the school, Mrs. Uma Shyam wished the audience Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. She spoke about the purpose of celebrating the birth of Jesus and guided the students to be useful for the society. The programme was well coordinated by Charul Agarwal, Vishakha Agarwal, Divya Raj and Md. Musharraf.
