Sports Week

The 12th Annual Sports Week was celebrated in St. John’s School, Abu Road with great enthusiasm. On the day of the opening ceremony the School’s playground was overflowing with zeal passion and excitement. The programme began with the welcoming of the Chief Guest Shri K.A. Shyam Kumar. The School Head Boy and the School Head Girl welcomed the Chief Guest with bouquets. A spectacular impressive and well synchronized March Past on the tuns of the School Bagpipers band by the four houses rendered the spectators speechless. The most intriguing aspect embellishing the event was the splendid field display, involving mass student participation. The spread message on various theme. They display included themes like save the environment, stop child labour, spread happiness and donate blood. This was entailed by the unfurling of the school flag and the declaration of the meet open by the Chief Guest. Making the commencement of the ceremony followed by the lighting of the flame by the School Sports Team. To mark the expression of joy and rejoicement students bursted crackers. The students also mesmerized the audience with an energetic dance performance. The students also showed drills on bicycle to spread the message of using less fossil fuel and to inculcate the habit of healthy life cycle. The mega programme was followed by the sports events. This grand event was made grander by the energetic students who showed great sportsmanship. Topaz House was declared the winner in sports events. In the closing ceremony, the Meet was declared closed by the Principal of the school. The School flag was handed over to the Sports Wing. The Meet saw its culmination with the National Anthem.
