Janmashtami Celebration

Janmashtami was celebrated with great zeal and pomp by the SJS family, AbuRoad. The stage was beautifully decorated. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp followed by the school choir singing devotional bhajans. The students lighted up the stage and mesmerized the audience with Nritya Natika depicting the life of Krishna. The live chariot made by students whereupon Krishna’s Sermon to Arjuna was depicted won the soul of the spectators. The students of pre-primary section of the school came in traditional dresses. Some boys came dressed as ‘Krishna’ and some girls came dressed as ‘Radha’. Their classroom was beautifully decorated. Children danced on the tunes of flute. The involvement of the children in the celebration was worth applauding.
