Hindi Diwas

Under the guidance of the Principal Mrs. Uma Shyam, St. John’s School, Abu Road organized a three days ‘Hindi Diwas’ celebration in the school premises from 12th September to 14th September 2019. A special assembly was organized by Ruby House. A small skit was enacted highlighting the importance of the language. An interactive quiz relating to Hindi Literature was conducted in the assembly. Various Competitions were held on the occasion for classes LKG to XII. The students actively participated in Poem Recitation, advertisement writing, framing new words from the given word, solving Hindi Puzzle, Classifying animals and birds. Kavi Samelan was organized for the students of classes IX to XII. The participants recited their self written poems and the poems written by great Indian Poets of Hindi Literature. The budding poets touched various topics and social issues that needs to be fixed in the society. The participants were very eloquent and received audience and judges appreciation. The students also decorated their Class Boards on the given topics. Over all it was a fun filled celebration which inculcated values of deep respect and appreciation for the National Language ‘Hindi’.
