Remembering the Legends of Peace

The birth anniversary of the twin stars of India Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri was celebrated with great zeal, enthusiasm and patriotism on 2nd October 2017. The assembly began with a special tribute to Gandhi Ji and Shastri Ji by lighting the lamp and garlanding the portraits of these great leaders. Children enacted anecdotes from Gandhiji’s life. They sang Bhajans sung by Gandhiji. S. Gokul of Class VII B spoke on the life of Gandhiji and Siya of Class VI A shared her views on the simple living and high thinking life style of Shastri Ji. The school choir sung a song glorifying Gandhi Ji and how he brought a new era for our country. The students were given a deep insight into the life and times of Gandhi Ji and Shatri Ji and were encouraged to ponder on the sacrifices they have made for the Nation. The students came dressed in Khadi and pledged to live a simple and noble life and to keep India clean and green.
