11th Annual Sports Week Meet

The 11th Annual Sports Week Meet of SJS was organized with great enthusiasm. The school’s playground was overflowing with passion, excitement and zeal. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by prayer. The Chief Guest of the day Shri K. A. Shyam Kumar and the Principal Mrs. Uma Shyam were welcomed with bouquets. A spectacular, impressive and a well synchronized March Past by the four houses rendered the spectators awestruck and speechless. The houses also spread the message of protecting environment, abolishing child labour and importance of sports. The school sports captain Master Hitesh Sirvi along with other sports members brought the lighted torch to the ground where the Chief Guest the Principal and other sports secretaries lighted the flame. This was entailed by the unfurling of the school flag and the Chief Guest declared the 11th Sports Meet Open. The dance group mesmerized the audience with their energetic performance. There after the Head Boy Master Monish Khatri administered Oath to the students. This was followed by events for the Primary and Secondary wings. The games like Football, Cricket, Throw ball, Volleyball, Basketball and Track and Field events were organized. Emerald House was adjudged the overall Best House in Sports Events. In the closing ceremony, the Meet was declared closed by the Principal of the school. The school flag was handed over to the sports wing. The Meet saw its culmination with the National Anthem.
