Guru Purnima – An Ode to the teachers

The sweetest, purest and the most unselfish relationship in the world is that between the Guru and the disciple. To honour the architect of students, “The Gurus” a special assembly was conducted by the Emerald House. The programme commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony followed by a prayer song. Two classical songs were sung by the school choir reflecting respect and dedication towards teachers. Miss Vishakha Agarwal of Class X ‘A’ paid a tribute to the teachers by reciting a poem highlighting the importance of a teacher in a student’s life. Ritika Vachhani and Anushka Chakrabarti of Class IX ‘B’ chanted shlokas which was followed by a captivating dance performance. The prefects of the school honoured the teachers and seeked their blessings. A well decorated stage with the commandable hosting by Miss Khushboo Vanjani of Class XI (Com.) added intense fervour and enthusiasm to the programme.
