One Nation Reading Together

To celebrate the pleasure of reading and to inculcate the habit of reading and create young readers St. John’s School, Abu Road along with Scholastic India organized a programme named ‘One Nation Reading Together’ on 24th November 2017. Students from Class I to Class XII read a book of their choice. Prior to reading all the students took a pledge. Students made a Graffiti wall where upon they wrote their thoughts on reading and why they love reading books. Students also participated in many fun filled and creative activities. Students dressed up as their favourite comic character and spoke a few dialogues. They wrote interesting stories around a given picture, and of the uses of a given article. Students enjoyed narrating stories using hand puppets and identifying the book by seeing its cover page. The winners were awarded by the most wonderful gifts ‘Books’.
